Yusuf Mohamed Adan is a distinguished Minister of the Federal Government
of Somalia and a Member of Parliament. He has an extensive background in the
humanitarian, education, and development sectors. Following his graduation a
bachelor’s degree in public administration, he has joined the education,
humanitarian and development sectors where he played a pivotal role in
coordinating emergency relief efforts, establishing sustainable development
programs, and advocating for the rights of vulnerable communities. As State
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, he advocates for labor rights, striving to
protect and empower workers. He has played a pivotal role in drafting and
reviewing key labor legislations, including the Somali Labor Code and National
Employment Policy among others. His work on the parliamentary Social Affairs
committee has focused on improving healthcare, social welfare, and education
services for Somali citizens.
